Come this Sunday, 5 August 2007, we will be having our street sales of tags at various parts of Singapore, including the entire stretch of Orchard, from morning to 5pm. Do come down to support us by adopting a pair of running tags from any of our friendly volunteers! (:
We would also be at a booth outside YMCA (One Orchard Road, Singapore 238824, near Dhoby Ghaut MRT) where we would be selling our cute dri-fit shirt too. For all who have signed up as this sunday's runners, we would still like to present you your goodie bag if you are able to come down and collect it.
Once again, thanks for all the support and encouragement despite all the hiccups! (:
Feel free to drop us an email should you have any doubts and enquries.
P.S For those who are unable to come down this Sunday but would still wish to lend your support by either ordering our limited edition tee or adopting a running tag, do contact us so we can make further arrangements (:

Core Runners Update!
Due to overwhelming response, registration for Core Runners on 29 July is now officially closed.
For those who still have not sign up for a slot but are dying to do your part for charity, fret not!
Because we still have many time slots available on 5 August! (particularly the 0910 slot)
Once again, to all who have supported us one way or other, thank you! (:

smile for a mile @ njc!
Hello, smile for a mile went to and left njc! our homeground. haha.
And so it was pretty hard to raise funds because there were a plethora of fundraising going on, with the highlight being Mr Yong's 217km death valley attempt. Go Mr Yong! But nonetheless, the chief end was to raise awareness about disability and i think we did a good job guys!
Heartfelt thanks to all the CCAs who came down, watched our skit, and ran the smile. I hope you guys smiled, as much as we did the whole night after the run :)

update 12/07
How is everyone doing! Getting excited over the run?
The police dept has cleared our permit and we're permitted to run on the 29th and 5th! To ensure a safe and well organized run(our 1st time pardon us), we have recced the route and marked out ambiguous points where different pair of feets may take different routes. Mashalls would be deployed at these various points to direct you the best possible route to run. Generally, it is a commonly used running route along the spore river so its pretty safe, save for some areas where one side of the river is more crowded than the other side. The scenery is great, especially with the soft morning sun and fresh breeze spuring you on. The route is about 5km so it'll be a turnabout near Wheelock Place so that we don't cut into the bustling orchard route(though we really wanted to). A waterpoint cum first aid station would be at the nice colourful bridge in the picture there.

Haha. Slightly unprofessional marshalling there.
Below is a copy of the running route. Its abit small so that it can be on one screen. Basically we will start and end at Esplanade Park, along Singapore River, along the main road to Wheelock Place, about turn, and back to Esplanade Park.
Nearer to the run, we'll update you with the final details as well as how to get to the starting point via email.
For now, tell your friends's families and your family's friends to come down to orchard road, toa payoh, or bugis on the 29th and 5th 1130-1700 to support our fundraisers!
